  I purchased a Stihl lawn trimmer from Bobcat of Lancaster. This will be the third season that I will use it. The first time I tried to use it this year the pull cord broke on the first try. This was the second time that it broke in only two seasons of use. When I brought it in I explained that I thought that there must be a defect since I have had tools with pull chords well over ten years that have never broke once, let alone twice in two years. They agreed to look at it. When I picked it up they told me that they could find nothing wrong. They replaced the cord and told me to bring it in if it happens again. Two days later they called and told me that I owed them $58.00 for a new chord, a new spark plug and labor. I don't mind paying a service charge, but they left me with the impression that there would be no charge since it appeared to be faulty. Second thing, I never asked for a spark plug. It didn't need a spark plug. I normally don't write reviews, but I just want people to be careful when dealing with them. Don't assume that they will stand by their products and don't be stupid like me and drop something off without a cost estimate.
